THE RESEARCH OF REMANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY AND BUSINESS MODE IMPLEMENTATION
ABSTRACT
Remanufacturing and reverse logistics are very important methods to solve the resource crisis and keep our sustainable development today.
After introducing concepts of reverse logistics and remanufacturing, the characteristics of remanufacturing are concluded into 7 points, and two of these go a little further. One is about disassembly, and the other one is about the coordination of manufacturing and remanufacturing in the environment of OEM remanufacturing. A near optimal policy for Manufacturing and Remanufacturing is given here, and the relation between the maximum system profit and the quantities of inventory of manufacturing and remanufacturing products is found out.
The safety stocks strategy in product systems with product return and remanufacturing is analyzed in the third part. Taking customer service level and service time into account, the inventory level at every stock point which will result in near optimal total inventory cost is found out. The traditional model of strategic safety stock planning is extended to systems with product return and remanufacturing. And three examples are used here to explain some possibilities of the model.
