ABSTRACT A PREVENTION PROGRAM FOR LATINA TEENS AT RISK FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT: A GRANT APPLICATION PROJECT By Marcena Buenrostro January 2016 The purpose of this project was to write agrant application to obtain fundingfor a culturallysound teen datingviolence prevention program for Latina youth. The pre- vention program would be conducted at the Foothill Familyagencyin West Covina, California. Foothill Family, a provider of domestic violence services since 1926, has been a staple in munityin bringingawareness to the issue of violence against women. The California Wellness Foundation was chosen as the funder for this grant proposal. The California Wellness Foundation has a historyof supportinginnovative projects that address the needs of traditionallyunderserved populations and low-e families and youth.
