Thoughts on the design:
本节课是以读、 说为主的词汇教学课。课时为一节。本节课遵循认知规律， 按照学生温故知新 —— 探索新知识 —— 使用新知识 —— 巩固新知识的客观规律进行教学。 从学生以往学****过的法律词汇入手结合单元主题引入新的法律词汇， 帮助学生做好新旧词汇知识的结合和迁移。此外本堂课也对法律词汇背后所蕴含的文化知识进行了输入。 激发学生对于法律知识的兴趣，培养学生的法律意识。
Teaching aims:
Get familiar with the expressions related to the law.
Learn about the stages of the legal process.
Practice and reinforce the new vocabulary.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Introduction
The teacher starts the lesson with a brainstorming to help students recall the vocabulary learned
about crime. And the topic ‘the law’is introduced.

氛，帮助学生回忆过往的相关的已知词汇， 从而实现新旧知识的迁移和拉近话题与学生的情感距离。
Step 2 Read and learn
Let students read the article in Part A on page 54. Ask students to explain the following words in
their own words. Pictures are used as prompts.

Ask students to read the article again and try to further understand the role of the police by
organizing the following items in proper order.
