在农业方面，坚持富民优先，始终把农民增收和农业基础设施建设放在本职工作的突出位置。突出抓好4个方面：一是以项目培育为抓手大力发展高效农业。为带领农民致富，经过大量市场调研，先后培育了一批富民项目，取得了显著的经济社会效益。特别是食用产业，经过三年的发展，产业从无到有，2007年组建了食用菌专业合作社，现已建有10个生产基地，菌种加工车间3个，各类食用菌生产车间10000平方米，种植面积1000多万平方尺，生产品种包括蘑菇、金针菇、秀珍菇、香菇、平菇等。年生产销售各类食用菌8000多吨，实现销售8000多万元，带动农户200多户，年增加农民收入2000多万元，项目连续三年获省、市农委、科技、资源开发等部门扶持资金500多万元，成为省内有影响的兴农富民项目。多次接受省、市、县领导的视察指导。二是以基础设施建设为抓手竭力提高农业综合生产水平。为迅速提高里下河地区防汛抗旱和交通能力，我想方设法通过多种途径争取上级项目资金支持，投入农业基础设施建设。近三年共组织实施省农业资源开发项目3项、农业部标准粮田项目1项，国家发改委商品粮基地项目1项，省小型农田水利建设项目1项、省农民专业合作组织建设项目1项，总投入5000多万元，新建各类闸站工程28座、灌溉车口76座、防渗渠道
