What is EmpWeb?
Software framework for implementing processes of circulation between “objects” and “users”.
Implemented as a set of services that could be consumed by the same internal application or not.
Agnostic Tech. Could be connected to Isis or Non-Isis objects and users database, or some of the data could exist through web-services (eg: LDAP users).
Uses relational databases and transactions in two levels (application & DB) for the circulation data.
Bibliographic format agnostic. Could be connected to MARC or non MARC objects database. Unifies the bibliographic information in MODs-XML.
