Teaching aims:
1. Get the students to learn some new words and expressions.
2. Develop the students’ reading ability .
学生情况分析:
本单元为高二的教材内容,通过前面的学****学生已具备了基本的阅读技能,概括文章大意和段落大意,并已经掌握了一定的词汇量,能够用些已学过的词汇进行一些语言交流和书面输出。

Step1 Lead-in
Do you know how to make the news? What is the process ?
Step2 Reading
1. Fast reading
Ask the students to read the passage quickly and try to get the answer to this question:

A. It introduces how to get a scoop.
B. It introduces the process of writing and printing for a
newspaper article.
C. It introduces a scoop about a famous film star.
2. Scanning

Step3 Careful reading
