Good morning, everyone ! I am the petitor. It’s a great honor for me to stand here to share my teaching design with , my topic is Culture Relics in Unit one of senior high school. My lesson consists of the following parts: the analysis of the teaching material and students, teaching procedures and so on.
Firstly, I’d like to talk something about my teaching content. This lesson is from Unit one, reading part. The main topic is the culture relics, after learning this lesson, students can learn more about the history and their reading ability will be improved.
Secondly, It’s about students. Students in senior one have learned English for many years, they’ve already been familiar with some words , sentences. But they can not use reading skills very well, so through this learning, they are able to master reading skills like skimming and scanning to deal with some problems.
Based on the analyses above, I set the teaching aims as follows:
Knowledge aims: Students know the history of the Amber room.
Students know some new words like valuable and so on.
Ability aim: students’ reading ability will be improved at the end of the class.
Emotional aim: through this lesson, students will have more confidence of speaking English in front of the public.
