Generalizations:
mei + CL cannot appear as an object, though mei ‘every’+ yi ‘one’+ CL, mei + CL + N, and mei + yi + CL + N can;
none of binations mentioned above can appear as an object when yi is replaced by a larger number, though all binations can appear as a subject or topic; and
an indefinite NP has to appear in ment when the number is larger than one, though the presence of dou is not necessary.
