Part I: American Population
USA is a country of immigrants. Since 16th century, people have been continuously emigrating to America from different continents for different reasons (political, religious, economic ones, etc.)
According to US census Bureau, the United States has a total estimated resident population of 310,822,000. The white Americans are still the majority, with many other ethnic groups.

Part II: Ethnic Minorities
1. African Americans (also referred to as Black Americans or Afro-Americans, and formerly as American Negroes) are citizens or residents of the United States who have origins in any of the black populations of Africa. In the United States, the terms are generally used for Americans with at least partial Sub-Saharan African ancestry.
2. Hispanic and Latino Americans are Americans with origins in the Hispanic countries of Latin America or in Spain, and all others who self-identify as Hispanic or Latino. Reflecting especially the Latin American population, which has origins in all the continents and many ancestries, Hispanic/Latino Americans are very racially diverse, and as a result form an ethnic category, rather than a race. Some members of munity prefer the term Hispanic and others Latino, the latter being mon in the western United States and the former in the eastern.
