Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, verbal and non-munication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior.
It is one of the recognized disorders in the autism spectrum which refers to a range of developmental disabilities that includes autism as well as other disorders with similar characteristics like Asperger syndrome (AS).
Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges.
