摘要
当今世界经济全球化,全球各大经济体的命运息息相关,2008 年国际金融危机就是很好的例证。百年不遇的经济危机,沉重地打击了世界经济,也严重影响了我国经济的发展。虽然中国经济快速地得到恢复,但是同时也必须清醒地认识到经济危机潜在的风险及其可能引发的灾难。如何迅速遏止金融危机、减少金融危机对实体经济带来的风险,是当前世界各国共同面临的课题。Too Big to Fail 是《纽约时报》首席记者、专栏作家——安德鲁·罗斯·索尔金(Andrew Ross Sorkin)的畅销书,作者采访了直接卷入金融危机的 200 多人,客观而详尽地描述 2008 美国金融危机,有非常重要的研究价值。
本课题就长难句的翻译进行研究,以奈达的核心句分析理论为指导,根据错综复杂的句子表层结构看到其内在的深层含义。以《Too Big to Fail》前两章内容为翻译文本,选取《Too Big to Fail》中的长难句作为例句进行分析和讨论,对在翻译中所遇到的问题及使用的处理方法进行归纳,目的是从中总结出一些对翻译实践具有指导意义的策略与技巧,进一步提高自己的翻译水平。
本文主要分为四个部分。第一部分是引言,主要介绍研究的背景,研究的目的及意义,研究方法。第二部分是译前准备,主要介绍作者及文本,分析原文本。第三部分是长难句的核心句分析及翻译策略,通过选取《Too Big to Fail》中的例句进行分析和讨论,在核心句分析理论指导下,归纳得出长难句的翻译策略。第四部分是结语,系统地总结整个翻译实践的启示心得和问题的解决策略,以期对读者有所启迪。

ABSTRACT
The international financial crisis of 2008 has strongly shown us the close relation among the world large economic entities with the development of economic globalization. This unusual crisis was a heavy blow to the world economy and seriously affected the economic development of China. Although China has got recovered quickly, it’s critical to be clearly aware of the potential risks and possible disasters of economic crisis. It’s mon issue faced by all countries that how to prevent financial crisis quickly and reduce the risks on economic entities. Too Big to Fail is the best seller of Andrew Ross Sorkin, who’s the chief reporter and columnist of New York Times. The writer shows us an objective and detailed description of the economic crisis of 2008 based on his face-to-face interview to more than 200 men involved in the crisis directly. So this book owns a great value and deserves our study.
Guiding by the theory of analyses of kernel sentences, this paper mainly studies the translation of long difficult sentences and probes into the inner relation through plex surface sentence structure.
