Abstract
The Contract Documents Shicang is another important village document founded following the Huizhou Documents. As handwriting Contract Documents, the words in it are very irregular and many of them are folk characters. This thesis prehensive and systematic studies on the folk characters in The Contract Documents Shicang. This study is important and significant for the studies of Chinese folk characters and history of Chinese characters.
This thesis, using induction, citation, parative research methods, anize and study the folk characters in the Contract Documents Shicang. Itis divided into five parts. Chapter 1introduces the study status quo, significance, method and corpus of this subject. Chapter 2 defines folk characters, outlines the basic outlook of the Contract Documents Shicang folk characters. and investigates and analyses the characteristics of folk characters in the Contract Documents Shicang. Chapter 3 summarizes and discusses the ten types of folk characters in the Contract Documents prehensively, which consist of plex class, simplified class replacement part class, part displacement class, part variation class, cursive the Kai-oriented class, class, shaped by class, compare prehensive class. Chapter 4, the folk characters explanations, investigates the word polymorphic phenomenon, focusing on analysis of the historical development of the multiple vulgar levels, clarifying its evolution context, revealing the evolution. Chapter 5 discusses the significance of the Vulgar Words study of the Contract Documents Shicang piling the large-scale language dictionary. Conclusion section summarizes this article’s basic viewpoints and innovations, and points out the inadequacies of the paper. The appendix is a folk characters glossary of the Contract Documents Shicang(first series).
