摘要
随着 32 位嵌入式芯片的近十年快速发展,多种高速接口的普及,硬件成本的急速降低以及社会对于多功能应用的需求,嵌入式应用设计喷薄而出,可以预见不久的将来嵌入式应用将进入越来越多的领域,给生活带来质的飞跃。其中,面向网络应用和多媒体应用的嵌入式设计,是未来发展的重点趋势。本设计采用嵌入式处理器,提供高性能的视频处理能力和多种信号采集接口,并且扩展多种通用高速通信接口,实现了高性能低成本的网络式嵌入式硬件平台。
本文从多种通信接口应用,以及视频压缩处理背景、原理与现状两方面入手,应用嵌入式系统开发技术,以 FREESCALE 的高性能视频 ARM 为硬件核心设计了具有高性能视频处理能力的多种网络应用平台。视频 ARM 相比通用 ARM 器件专门设计了片上视频处理电路,能够迅速开发接驳主流视频编解码芯片的视频应用系统;相比通用 FPGA 器件而言, 则提供了针对广泛应用更高的处理性能和更短的开发周期。带有多种网络接口的 ARM,相比使用总线扩展芯片提供接口应用,有成本上以及性能上的优势,以及更加快速和稳定的开发潜力。
因此,采用 设计与开发嵌入式平台是理想的选择。

Abstract
The 32-bit embedded system is in the rapid development in the past 10 years, the popularity of a variety of high-speed interface, the hardware cost of the rapid goes down, as well as the growing demand for multi-purpose applications, embedded applications gushing out, can be expected in the near future embedded application will be more and more areas of life to a qualitative leap. The application of work-oriented design and multi-media needs are the trends. The design of the embedded processor provide high-performance video processing capabilities and a variety of signal acquisition interface, and the expansion of a variety mon high-munications interfaces, to achieve a high-performance low-work-embedded hardware platforms.
