It has provided a way for different manufacturers’ IED (Intelligent Electronic Device) to realize the interoperability and the system’ seamless integration. The paper discusses the research of puter-based feeder protection IED based on IEC61850.
Based on introducing the background, content, motivation, and actuality of the research, the paper analyzes the characteristics of IEC61850, which contain configuration of substation automation, performance requirement work, information modeling of object oriented, ACSI and SCSM. bining interoperability experiment report of IED and deficiency of IED which gained in the interoperability experiment of IED, we conclude outline and characteristics of IED that implement interoperability and characteristics. puter protection equipment is the most important IED in substation automation so that it is one of crucial technology that designing puter protection device based on IEC 61850.
The paper takes puter-based feeder protection device as a example, completing modeling of puter-based feeder protection device by using the way of modeling which defined in IEC61850, it contains modeling of logical node and data, logical device and service munication, then use extensible Markup Language (XML) describing the model. The paper conquers the questions that exist in puter protection equipment satisfying interoperability and concludes the step of designing puter protection equipment based on IEC61850.
