CMTS work User Authentication
Services and Control
ABSTRACT
With the rapid development of HFC technology and the two—way work transformation project,the prospect of the CMTS—based broadband access technologies in China iS bright.
The biggest problem of CMTS work is the security of
user authentication and authorization;therefore,in the operation of HFC work work user authentication
has e a problem which needs to be solved urgently.
This thesis reviews the status of CMTS work and the
DOCSIS standards,analyzes pares the current technologies of user authentication,and proposes a DHCP+Web authentication solution based on the characteristics of CMTS ,some of the
impelemention methods are also introduced.
The kye part of the thesis begins from the third to the CMTS work operating environment,the thesis gives prehensive analysis of the CMTS access system,aiming at the inherent difficulties exiting in DHCP+Web,such as the Ofnine detection, DHCP policy and SO series of measures and methods are put forward,and the outline design of the CMTS access system user authentication services and control system iS also proposed,which consists with user’s needs and the design requirements.
In the thesis designed and ful filed an instance of the CMTS work user authentication system,which proved the feasibility of the design to the results of the tests, the system can be carried out in test operation.
