Abstract
Automatic Meter Reading is a new technology which applies data acquisition, transmission and processing to water,power,and gas’supply and AMR,the traditional manual meter reading ings Can be ed and new hope is AMR systems are developed late in our country but progressing management revolution in the water,power and gas AMR
research is ing a trend.
Embedded system industry is continuously developing swiftly and violently in these years,which has been widely applied to many fields,such aS puting work device,industrial device,information appliances,automobile
electronic,amusement establishment,apparatus and instruments, a
communicating method,GPRS is a new technology,it haS good effects,lower price than SMS and call be improved ,GPRS supports TCPaP protocol and Can make wireless data transmission convenient.
In this background,we integrated embedded system and embedded Linux technology together and architected embedded uClinux system based on ARM7TDMI core microprocessor software and hardware platform has been
established.
This paper introduces some familiar AMR systems home and
their characteristics at analyzes the flame mon AMR systems and describes the way of upward/munications in 3
introduces the Ethemet AMR system specially,pointing out it’S a promising AMR that,describes the design of the controller in detail,both hardware and used and embedded system established are alSO introduced in
a part of a11 embedded ,some device driver programs
and application programs are amended and ,the summary and some problems of the design are given,in order that with further study,the system Can be
made better
