As is seen in the cartoon, a man is sitting in front of puter to search for something on the while his wife serves a cup of tea for him. Worriedly, the man says that he feels unfortunate to live in a world with so much misleading information. The cartoon reveals an increasingly severe social problem that misleading information online brings much harm to people.
Two aspects will be explored to illustrate the problem. For one thing, in such an information explosion age, almost every corner of our life seems stuffed with misleading information, as a result of
which people have to consume much time and energy to get the correct information and e anxious and exhausted every day just as the man in the cartoon shows. For another, misleading information may seduce people into bad habits, even make mit crimes. This may further lead to the sense of fear and loss of mutual trust among people.
To prevent the misleading information from spreading, governments should carry out relevant regulations to better the web environment while individuals need to judge independently. Only in this way can we embrace a clean, healthy world in the foreseeable future.
