摘要
关于远程教育的定义有两种不同的观点,但无论是哪个国家、哪个时期的远程教育都存在共同的本质,那就是:教的行为与学的行为的时空分离。几乎所有的定义都将教师和学生的时空分离作为远程教育的一个描述性特征。在教师和学生时空分离的情况下,学生不能像在传统教室中那样,得到教师直接的和持续的指导。从远程教与学的整体看,学生的学习行为与教师的教学行为在时空上通常是分离的。网络教育由于其以学生为中心,不受时间、地点、次数及进度的限制,能自由利用网上资源等优点,成为教育方式的发展新趋势、教育也随之进入网络教育的新时代。

Abstract
The definition of remote education has two kinds of different views, but no matter which country the remote education, which period there mon essence that teaching behavior and learning behavior space-time separation. Almost all the definition will teachers and students, the remote education space-time separation as a descriptive features. The teachers and students, under the situation of space-time separation in the traditional classroom student is not like in that way, get teachers directly and sustained guidance. From the remote teaching and learning, the students' overall look at learning behavior and the teacher's teaching behavior in time and space and are usually separated. Network education because of its student centered, with time, place, times and progress restriction, free to use online resource advantages of the development of the education mode, e a new trend, education is subsequently into work education of new era.

随着信息技术的发展,不断给传统教育带来了巨大的影响。以网络为基础的现代远程教育正在突破学校院墙的阻隔,延伸到社会的每个角落,延伸到每个人的一生之中。随着网络建设的发展,通过网上进行授课已经成为可能。网络教育由于其以学生为中心,不受时间、地点、次数及进度的限制,能自由利用网上资源等优点,成为教育方式的发展新趋势、教育也随之进入网络教育的新时代。迫切需要发展网络教育;高校作为高等教育的最主要阵地,发展网络教育责无旁贷。近年来,有较多的高校都将电教中心与网络中心合并为现代教育技术中心,这种合并也说明了在高校中,充分发展现代的网络教育成为高校的发展与进步的新需要。如何充分利用这种合并所带来的人才资源与技术优势,为网络教育建设服务,这是一个非常值得考虑的问题。
