1. What are the wonders of the world? 世界的奇迹有哪些?
wonder ⑴ v vt = want to know 想知道;对…感到奇怪后面接宾语从句的几种用法:
① wonder 后接 whether 或if 引导的宾语从句,常用来委婉地提出疑问或请求。
I wonder if he has been to Hong Kong . 我想知道他是否去过香港。
② wonder 表示“对……感到好奇”时, 后面一般接that (可省略) 引导的宾语从句。
She wondered that you were not angry. 你没有生气她感到惊奇。
③ wonder 表示“想知道,纳闷”时,可接特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句,也可接带有疑问词的不定式。
I wonder where to spend ∕ I should spend my holiday.
I wonder what we should do next. 我想知道我们接下来该做什么。
⑵ cn 奇迹,奇观可数名词。The Great Wall is one of the great wonders of the world.

2. sit down = take a seat 请坐
3. What’s happening? 发生什么事了?= What’s up ? We are having a meeting. have a meeting开会
happen ⑴ sth. + happened + 地点/ 时间意为“某地/ 某时发生了某事”
An accident happened in that steet . 那条街上发生了一起事故。
⑵vi. Sth happen to sb 某人出了某事 What happened to him yesterday evening?
⑶vt. Sb. happened to do sth 某人碰巧做了某事。
I happened to meet an old friend of mine in the street yesterday.
4. That’s∕It’s news to me. (口语) 我一点不知道。
A: I hear you and Mike are going to Paris for the weekend. 去巴黎过周末
B: Really? That’s news to me. 我怎么不知道!

6. Listen up! 仔细听! listen up 常用于引起别人的注意,尤用于美国口语中。listen up 后不能直接加宾语。
Hey, boys and girls, listen up ! 喂,孩子们,注意听!
7. Did you see the interview with Becky Wang? 你看过Becky Wang的采访了吗?
⑴. 会面,会见;采访;面谈;面试
the interview with sb. 对某人的采访 give an interview 接受采访
do an interview with sb 采访某人
⑵ vt 会晤;接见;采访 Interview sb = do an interview with sb 采访
I will do an interview with him. = I will interview him.
8. Why don’t we write down some ideas? = Why not write down some ideas?
Why don’t sb. do sth? = Why not do sth? 为什么不做某事呢?表示建议。
建议的表达: Let’s do sth… Shall we do sth? Would you like to do sth?
Why don’t we do sth? = Why not do sth? What about ∕ How about doing sth?
9. We’ll write a diary of school events. 我们会记下学校每天的事情
