A passage to India, adapt from a novel that has the same name. It was depicting a trip to foreign countries, revealing the mysterious oriental culture and inconceivability of life to us. The plot develops around Doctor Aziz, a young Indian and he is unreasonably accused by a young English woman of intending to offend her. Through the story, the movie unfolded the insurmountably huge gap between the Indians and English colonist and the great difference between the oriental and western culture.
In the movie,it’s no hard to see that national fusion between India and England is very difficult.
I really like The Indians especially Doctor Aziz in that movie ,because of his humble ,sincerity and enthusiasm .He tried to make friends with the English,thinking that they can get along with each , the English were proud and imperious. They wanted to control the whole India ,and thought that all Indian were ignorant and savage. The unequal status between India and England finally constituted the confusion and doubt on the actuality among people. However, English women were different. They hope municate with Indians and know more about India,so they tried to make friends with the Indian .But The failure of making friends had proved that the difficulty in bination in the certain era of the history.
