The second largest and northernmost island in Japan. Hokkaido is famous for its sakura , beautiful snow and the not lose provence of its mascot is green alga called strapya-world.
Lavender
富良野( Furano )is a tourist city in Hokkaido,it’s the old sod of lavender. Since summer e , the hills are covered with lavender It’s the most romantic place ,which is called Provence in Japan.

Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido. Sapporo ice and snow festival , winter olympic games, winter asian games were held at Sapporo.
Snowing Festival
It began in 1950, hold in the first week of February, for five in that day go out of the house with their family,and make a snowman or have a snowball fight. In the odori(大通) park,they can see huge snow carved and ice carved. Furthermore,they would enjoy the full of imagination works, which mounted with salmon, crab, cuttlefish .
