一、提分句型:表示“倍数的必备句型”
+is+倍数+times+比较级+than+B
The train runs six times faster than the boat.
+is+倍数+times+as+原级+as+B
This garden is ten times as large as that one.
火车比轮船快六倍。
这个花园是那个花园的十倍大。
+is+倍数+times+the size (height, length ...)+of+B
Their newly­built school is almost five times the size of ours which was built ten years ago.
Their newly­built school is almost ours
which was built ten years ago.
Their newly­built school is almost ours which was built ten years ago.
他们新修建的学校几乎是我们十年前修建的学校的两倍大。

4. “… times + more +名词+ than …”

He earns he did ten years ago.
他现在挣的钱比十年前挣的多 5 倍
five times more money than
5. “… times +as many (或 much )+名词+ as …”例如:
We've produced this year as ( we did ) ten years ago.
今年我们生产的棉花比十年前多了一倍。(汉语中的多一倍实际上也指两倍一样多。)

6. “… times + what 从句”例如:
这条路的长度是三年前的 4 倍。
The length of the road is
four times three years ago.

7. “…+by + … times ”例如:
Compared with last year,our coal output has increased .
与去年相比,我们的煤产量增长了 3 倍。

8. “比较级+than…+by + … times ”
例如:
The time I spent is he spent by three times
more than that
我花费的时间是他花费时间的三倍
9. “… times + that of + 被比较对象”例如:
In this workshop the output of July was times .
这个车间七月份的产量是元月份的 倍。

10. “multiply +... times ”和“be multiplied by +... times ”
例如:
1、the sales of air -conditioners have been multiplied by four times since 2002。
production has multiplied eight times
自2002年以来,空调的销售量增加了三倍.(是之前的四倍)
产量提高了7倍。(是以前的8倍)
