◆语法精析
Ⅱ.状语从句
状语从句主要用来修饰主句或主句的谓语。一般可分为九大类,分别表示时间、地点、原因、目的、结果、条件、让步、比较和方式。
一、时间状语从句
,while,as,after,before,till/until等来引导的时间状语从句。
It will be four days before e back.

可以引导时间状语从句的名词短语有:the moment,the minute,the instant,each time,every time,next time等。
The children ran away from the orchard the moment they saw the guard.
孩子们一见到看管人就从果园里跑开了。

immediately,instantly,directly,as soon as,no sooner...than...,hardly/barely/scarcely...when...等引导时间状语从句,表示“一……就……”。no sooner...than...,hardly...when...引导的表示时间的句子,从句用一般过去时,主句用过去完成时。当no sooner,hardly位于句首时,主句要用部分倒装。
The young lady rushed into the room immediately she heard the noise.
那位年轻女士一听到响声就冲进了房间。
Hardly had he reached home when it began to rain.
他刚到家,天就开始下雨了。
二、让步状语从句
,although,as,even if,even though,while引导的让步状语从句。
(1)although引导的让步状语从句不倒装。
(2)as引导让步状语从句时,从句的表语、状语或谓语中的实义动词需提前至句首,如果表语是带冠词的名词,冠词需要省略。
(3)though引导的让步状语从句可以倒装也可以不倒装,倒装时用法同as。此外though还可用作副词,常置于句末,意为“可是,不过,然而”。
