University of Oxford is the oldest university of Britain and the most famous institution of higher learing in the world. The exact date of its foundation is still not clear, but its history can be traced back to about 12th century. So far it has a history of 9 centuries.
There were no universities in Britain before 12th have to go to France or other European countries to study. In 1167, the king of England had quarrel with the king of king of England was so angry that he recalled the scholars studied in Paris University (It was also said that the scholars were drove away by the king of France.) Anyhow these scholars returned home from Paris, gathered in Oxford, engaged in teaching and research . So people begin to regard Oxford as a “base”, which in fact is the predecessor of University of Oxford.

All Souls College(万灵学院)
All Souls College was founded in 1438, named for the All Souls’ Day. It is one of the most affluent College in University of Oxford.
It is the only college which only has graduate students. So it is regarded as one of the most authoritative academic colleges in the world.
Magdalen College(莫德林学院)
Magdalen College is considered to be one of the most beautiful colleges in University of Oxford.
