This paper clarifies the conflict between money and family love in Dombey and Son. In modern time, people pay more and more attention on money instead of motions, especially family love. This paper aims to attract people’ motion, and hope people don’t treat money so important. At the first part, it will show a introduction of the paper. Next, es to the background of Charles Dickens, which includes three parts. They are social situation in that time, the main contents of the novel, and the purpose of the novel. Besides, this paper will present the conflict between money and family love in Dombey and Son. This part is also divided into three parts.
