Purchasing-Power Parity Theory 购买力平价理论
Introduction:
1、提出者: G. Cassel 卡塞尔(瑞典)
2、内容:国内外物价对比作为决定汇率的依据
3、评价:该理论强调经常项目对汇率的决定作用,将商品、劳务的价格与汇率联系在一起

purchasing-power parity, PPP 购买力平价理论
购买力平价理论是西方汇率理论中最具影响力的理论之一,(Cassel)在1922年的一篇论文《1914年以后的货币与外汇理论》中正式提出的。购买力平价理论分绝对购买力平价和相对买力平价两种理论。

基本思想
购买力平价理论的基本思想是:对于货币持有者而言,货币的价值在于其所具有的购买力,因此各国货币之间的兑换比率应取决于它们各自具有的购买力。由于货币的购买力可以通过物价水平来加以表现,因此不同货币的兑换率(即汇率)就是各的比率。

一价法则:在运输成本、关税和其他有碍贸易自由流动的障碍都不存在的条件下,由于套利,会使同一种商品在所有市场上的价格相等。

the equilibrium exchange rate between two currencies is equal to the ratio of the price levels in the two nations.
均衡汇率等于两之比。

relative purchasing-power parity theory: the change in the exchange rate over a period of time should be proportional to the relative change in the price levels in the two nations over the same time period.
相对购买力平价理论:一段时期内汇率的变化与同一时期内两的相对变化成正比。
