These days Chinese wire and cable manufacturers consist of three parts: foreign-funded (including of foreign capital holding
companies), private enterprises and state-owned (inclusive of state-asset panies). Chinese wire and cable users can
select almost all branded products all over the world. Chinese wire and cable market is too limited for such a large amount of
suppliers. So, the overall supply exceeds the demand and the structural supply is insufficient. On the low-end product market, the
enterprises cut the prices to win petition. While on the high-end product market, the major high-end products are imported.
So, the integration of the Chinese wire and cable market can be expected soon. Compared to the panies, Chinese
wire and cable manufacturing technologies lag far behind, especially in respect of the products with high technology contents.
These days only a small amount of domestic enterprises can produce the high-end products. So, the technology level will e
one of the important indices to appraise the development prospects of the domestic enterprises.
