It originates from customs law, and centers on the Old Testament under the influence ofHammurabi Code. Hebrew Law, as the source of western civilization and Oceanic law, takes on a very high researching value. However, there have not been monographs on it since 1949 in China. Although there are lots of English materials on Hebrew Law, viewpoints are of unilateralism due to religious viewpoints and ethnocentrism. This explains why there have not been authoritative masterpieces Hebrew Law dissertation is a monograph plished mainly in reference to the Old Testament and the Talmud, which is called as Jewish Code on the basis of the author’s vast reading of English materials. It is bination of legal thought and legal system in accordance with the historic materialism principles for thepurpose of reflecting the Hebrew Law panoramically and objectively, and rectifying illatively the bias that the Hebrew Law is primitive and customary in terms of law. The Hebrew Law, as per the perspectives of the author, is subject to objectiveconditions and historic development while not on the the Introduction, the author presents the characteristics of Hebrew Law and the difficulties encountered in research, which could be helpful in understanding the contents of the whole dissertation
