What it is?
Name: TUNZA North East Asian Youth Environmental Network (TUNZA-NEAYEN)
aims and functions: mobilize youth and youth organizations in Northeast Asia for environmental protection activities under the principle of sustainable development, in collaboration with the other sub-regional youth networks in Asia Pacific Region.

When did it start?
TUNZA-NEAYEN is a youth network set up in January 2005 with consultation and support from the UNEP Regional Office for Asia and Pacific as a part of the UNEP’s global youth strategy.

Why has it been started?
UNEP has organized environmental conferences, competitions, and awards for young people and adopted a six-year strategy designed to increase the participation of young people in environmental activities.
According to this long-term strategy, regional youth environment networking is one of the most vibrant action that UNEP has taken, so that, particularly in Asia and the Pacific region, the South Asia Youth Environment Network has success
