形容词比较级（1）
1. 形容词比较级的概念
英语的大部分形容词通常用三种形式来表达事物的等级差别，分别是原级、比较级（表示“比……更……”）、最高级（表示“最……”）。本模块我们先来一起学****形容词的比较级的用法。当表示对两者（人或事物）的性质进行比较时，就要用形容词比较级的形式。

单音节和少数双音节形容词比较级变化规律如下：
3. 形容词比较级的用法
（1）A+be+形容词比较级+than+B，意为“越来越……”。如：
It’s getting colder and colder. 天气变得越来越冷了。
（2）as+形容词原级+as，意为“和……一样……”，表示双方程度相同。如：
My bike is as new as yours. 我的自行车和你的一样新。
（3）比较级+and+比较级，意为“越来越……”。
More and more people are moving to the cities. 越来越多的人转移到城市。
（4）比较级+than+any other +单数可数名词，意为“比别的任何一个都……”。如：
China is larger than any other country in Asia. 中国比亚洲其他任何一个国家都大。
（5）Who / Which+动词+比较级，A or B? 意为“A和B，哪个 / 谁更……”。如：
Who is taller, Jim or Tom? 吉姆和汤姆，谁更高？
（6）the +比较级，the +比较级，意为“越……就越……”。如：
The more I read, the happier I will be. 我读的书越多，就越高兴。
（7）the+比较级+of the two用于两者之间的比较，强调其中一个（人或物），表示特指，比较级前要加定冠词the。如：
Mary is the younger of the two girls. 玛丽是这两个女孩中年纪较小的那个。
4. 比较级前的修饰语
英语中常用来修饰比较级的单词或短语有：a little，a bit，a few，a lot，much，even，far，still，rather， any等；而too, very, quite修饰原级。如：
I feel even worse now. 现在我感到更糟糕了。
It is much colder today than yesterday. 今天比昨天还要冷得多。
