分析陕西近7年中考真题可知，对动词时态的考查多在单项选择（2017此题型已删）、短文填空中，2017年新增语法性完形填空中也考查了动词的时态。以一般过去时(16次)、一般现在时(6次)为主，同时也会涉及现在完成时(4次)、现在进行时(4次)与过去进行时(3次)。单项选择中有关时态的试题常含有时间标志词，而短文填空中多不含时间标志词，主要是根据上下文语境进行推断。

一般现在时：(The Simple Present Tense)
定义：1、表达经常性或****惯性的动作。
2、表示现在的状态。
特点：
1、表示现在的状态：. He’s twelve. She’s at work
2、表经常或****惯性的动作：. I get up at 6:30 every day.

3、表主语具备的性格和能力等： . She likes noodles.
They speak French
4、客观真理和自然规律： . Two plus four is six.

规则动词过去式变化规则
1、一般情况加ed, 如：walk--walked
2、以e结尾直接加d, 如：love--loved
3、以辅音字母+ y 结尾，变y为 i，再加ed，如：study--studied
4、重读闭音节结尾只有一个辅音字母的，双写辅音字母，再加ed，如：stop--stopped
