Discussion on sports
Which is more important for you: taking part in sport, or winning?

Can spectators help an athlete to win?
Is it important to support your favorite player, your team or your country?
Work in 4 groups and discuss the questions.

Work in pairs and look at the words below. Guess how an athlete might feel before and after the competition. Classify them into “before the competition” / “after the competition” and “winner-related” / “non-winner related” groups.
