Benefits of International Trade
II. country can make gains from international trade in the seven following aspects:
Through international trade a country can make good use of the resources abroad and coordinate its national economy;
Through trading with other countries, a country can introduce advanced technologies and equipment so as to improve the productivity;
Helping to enlarge a country's accumulation of capital;
Helping a country to import the products that can't be produced domestically and meet the needs of its people well;
Through international trade a country can participate in the international specification;
Through international trade a country can accelerate its overall economic growth；
Through international trade a country can promote the development of its foreign economic and trade relationship and improve its influence;
One of the reasons that the mechanism of WTO is criticized is that the rule itself is unpopular. For example, in the Uruguay Round the developing countries were forced to accept intellectual property protocol, which can not bring much benefit to them; on the other hand, the wealthy countries (such as the USA, France of the EU, Japan) were reluctant to compromise on many terms (agriculture, antidumping and anti-subsidy) that the developing countries concern.
International trade means the exchange of goods and services among different countries.
