随着盂县核桃产量的不断提升，全国各地干果商纷纷到该县采购核桃。据统计，最近活跃在盂县及周边的商家有一百个左右，盂县有两大核桃深加工企业，盂县大寨饮品有限公司和盂县欢乐喝彩有限公司，他们不仅拥有生产核桃原材料的基地，还与周边核桃产量大户签订常年购销协议。为推动盂县核桃基地发展、繁荣开辟空间。除此之外。省内外一些大型流通企业也将收购触角延伸到该县。
2010年，盂县下社乡乔家庄村核桃总产量就达到了6万斤，核桃总收入60多万元，人均核桃收入超千元。盂县下社乡乔家庄村核桃产业的发展只是作为“中国核桃之乡”的盂县加速发展核桃产业的一个缩影。盂县采取了政府投入为主和奖励补助等一系列的鼓励政策。县政府每年拿出1000万元，用于核桃苗木补助，全县种植核桃苗木费全部由县财政负担；对集中连片种植核桃的，给予每亩每年200元的补助，连续补助8年；凡培育核桃苗木的单位和个人，一次性给予补助2000元。
