今年以来，北京市检察机关认真开展了“大学****大讨论”活动，对全面提高
执法水平，推动首都检察工作创新发展具有重要的现实意义。
要把“大学****大讨论”活动作为首都检察工作创新发展的奠基工程和灵魂工程。在“大学****大讨论”活动中，关键是要在思想上有一个清晰的认识。要始终用中国特色社会主义理论武装检察人员头脑，在执法思想、执法实践、执法作风等各方面真正体现中国特色社会主义的正确方向；要始终坚定发展和完善中国特色社会主义检察事业的信心和决心，创造性地把中国特色社会主义理论与首都检察实践相结合；要始终自觉用社会主义法治理念指导检察工作，确保检察工作沿着正确方向发展。
要把“大学****大讨论”活动的核心目标放在提升法律监督能力上。重点提升“五个方面的能力”:必须提升依法惩治犯罪的能力，提升执法为民的能力，提升诉讼监督的能力，提升化解社会矛盾的能力，提升运用宽严相济刑事政策的能力。具体而言，要在推进平安奥运和维护首都稳定上有所作为，在服务首都经济社会发展上有所作为，在保障和改善民生上有所作为，在维护和促进司法公正上有所作为。
