第一章 公园的国内外发展概况

我国城市公园的由来可追溯至古代皇家园林，官宦、富商和士人的私家园林。现代意义的公园则是帝国主义侵略的结果，当时殖民者在我国开设租界，为了满足殖民者少数人的游乐活动，把欧洲式的公园传到了我国。最早的就是1868年在上海建造的“公花园”(黄浦公园)。中华人民共和国成立以后，我国政府除了以古代园林、古建筑或历史纪念地为基础建设了一批公园外，也建设了一批以绿化为主，辅以建筑，布置于城市或市郊的新型公园。这些公园意味着广大人民第一次有了娱乐和游憩的场所。 
改革开放以来，特别是1992年随着创建园林城市的活动在全国普遍开展以来，配合城市建设的大发展，我国城市公园也经历了一个高速发展的阶段。全国公园总数由20世纪80年代将近1000个发展到2002年的4000 多个。在数量增长的同时，我国城市公园的质量也有了很大提高。公园加强了绿化美化工作，局部生态环境得到显著改善；增添了大量娱乐和服务设施，极大地丰富了市民游玩内容；许多历史文化遗址、遗迹和古树名木通过公园的建设得到了较好保护，成为市民了解和欣赏自然文化遗产的重要场所；城市公园类型日趋多样化，除了历史园林以
