Teaching aims:
To understand the story about my new neighbor.
To write about something on how to get on well with your friend.
To learn to take care of others.
Teaching steps:
Step 1 Warming-up
Ask and answer:
Look at the picture. This girl looks lonely. Do you make a friend with her?
How do you make her happy?
设计意图:这是“阅读”的热身活动,让学生看图根据问题讨论,帮 助学生在大脑中形成一个有关交朋友的信息包。
Step2 Fast-reading
Read the passage and number the phrases in the order.
She picked up the basket.
I folded a paper basket.
She looked lonely.
A new girl moved in next door.
I left the basket on her doorstep.
We became good friends.
设计意图:让学生快速浏览课文,知道可以通过文章的图片、文章的 首段和末段以及每一段的首句和末句,了解文章的大意。
Step3 Careful-reading
Read the passages and talk about the questions:
What was the writer's new neighbor like?
Why did the writer think she looked lonely?
What idea did the writer have?
What did the card say?
What happened at last?
设计意图:本活动是学生细读文章之后,对文章理解程度的检测。要 求学生讨论五个问题的答案,有的问题是针对文章内容,了解学生对 文章理解的程度;有的问题带有一定的开放性,目的在于训练学生的 推理能力和综合能力。
