语言知识：理解一些关于运动方面表达，比方：the long jump，the egg and spoon race，in a race，came first等,和disappointed 和blindfold的意义及发音。
语言才能：绘声绘色地独立朗读故事；能复述主要故事情节;能自己创编情节和对话，让妈妈开心。
思维策略：通过让学生观察图片预测故事情节培养学生的观察力和想象力；
文化品格：1、培养学生重在参和的体育精神;
2、通过复述和讨论培养学生自信表达的勇气。
二、学****重难点
本节课的重难点在于学生可以流畅的朗读故事并进展复述和表演.
三、教具准备
多媒体设备、课件、奖牌图片四张(1st， 2nd, 3rd， Best Mum)、词卡.
四、学****过程
（一)Leading in
1、Greetings
2、Watch a video about sports game，answer “What did they do in the sports game？"（the long jump，the running， the relay race）
并进一步提问：Which one do you like? Why？
（二）Today’s story is also about sports game，named“Poor Old Mum"。就课题展开提问: When you see the title，do you have any questions？由学生提问并导入新课：Here poor means unlucky，why was mum unlucky and what happened in the story，let's have a look。
（三）逐图讲解故事，并适时的提出一些引发考虑的问题，如：When Mum came last，she was so upset，if you want to give her some advice，what would you say？What would you do to make mum happy？
（四）Listen and follow the story,在跟读的过程中，指认部分学生朗读，并纠音,同时，加深一下disappointed and blindfold的音义。
（五)Let's read,让学生小组朗读，进展练****注意语音语调,之后并进展展示。
（六）Let’s retell 补全板书并复述。Now，you must know the story very well，Look at the blackboard，who can help me to put these cards on the board？学生上台粘贴板书，并尝试进展复述。师总结：Mum was not the winner，but she is
