Chlorophyll concentration and density of phytoplankton increased by 4 and 3 times respectively. However, the transparency decreased by
% in the current state of algal turbidity. (2) The diversity index (Shannon-Wiener Index) of zoobenthos and species of fish increased
from to and 0 to 14, and the coverage of macro aquatic plants increased from 6% to 40%. The study reveals that owing to natural
recovery and artificial intervention, the health level of the Jing River changed from unhealthy to sub-healthy, but the eutrophication is the
main limiting factor of the water system. The research results provide scientific basis for landscape design and ecological restoration of
new rivers.
