Evaluation of High-Quality Development of the Changjiang River Delta Region

Abstract: As a key theme in the new development stage, high-quality development played an important role in guiding China′s social
and economic development. Based on this concept, entropy method and obstacle degree model were used to measure and identify the high-
quality development and main obstacle factors in Changjiang River Delta Region in 2009, 2014 and 2019. The results showed that: ① The
comprehensive index of high-quality development in Changjiang River Delta Region continued to grow, and cities at different levels were
gradually changing to high-value cities, generally presenting a spatial development pattern of "high in the southeast and low in the
northwest". ② The level of innovation, coordination, openness and sharing was strongly correlated with the level of comprehensive urban
development, while the result of green development was different. ③ The descending order of the obstacle degree of the five subsystems
