In present-day society, human beings are developing at an amazing rate on various fronts. Yet at the the same time, many problems have been brought about, a serious one of which is the growing traffic and pollution problem. In terms of this problem, some people assert that increasing the price of petrol is the best way to trickle this problem while others disagree.
According to a recent survey, above 40% of people in Hangzhou said their acceptable price of petrol was less than 2 times of the price at present. Therefore, it is evidently reasonable for someone to hold on that if the government increases the price of petrol to a higher level, such as 3 times more than the price now. there must be less people can afford their cars’ cost. Others, however, can’t share this point of view. A case in point is that travelling by car is much more convenient than public transportations. Admitted, the rise of petrol’s price might be a good way to cut down the number of car users. Despite that, I think this effect would not last long.
