◆should为情态动词,意为“应该;应当”,后接动词原形,无人称和数的变化。常用来表示征询意见、建议、劝告、要求和义务等。
如:(1) You should stop smoking. 你应该戒烟。(劝告或建议)
(2)You shouldn’t talk in class. 你不应该在课堂上说话。(要求或命令)
(3)His schoolbag should be in the classroom. 他的书包可能在教室里。(推测)

◆be supposed to. . . 意为“应该;应当”,其中to是动词不定式符号,其后要跟动词原形。
(1) 当be supposed to. . . 的主语是“人”时,意为“应该……,被期望……”,它可以用来表示劝告、建议、义务、责任等,相当于情态动词should。如:
Everyone is supposed to wear a seatbelt in the car. 每个人坐车时都应该系安全带。
(2) be supposed to. . . 的否定结构为be not supposed to. . . ,意为“不被许可;不应当”。如:
She was not supposed to be angry about that. 她不该为那件事生气。

(2)suppose+that从句,意为“认为/猜想……”。

allow sb. to do sth. “允许某人做某事”;allow doing sth. “允许做某事”; be allowed to do sth. “被允许做某事”。如:
