Abstract: Based on the practical investigation in waterworks, the high chromaticity of the outlet water can be attributed to the high manganese concentrations before the chlorine dioxide disinfection process. This problem has been alleviated by several approaches. These include adjusted chlorine dioxide input amount before coagulation and after filtration; addition of aerating apparatus and altered ulation process; replacement of manganese filter and changing water sources etc. Keywords: Chlorine Dioxide;manganese;Chromaricity.
