Ontheotherhand,existingsimulationtoolsalsoincludethepossibilityofmodelingseveral
stageslikeplanning,operating,
considered,analysisofnetworkconditionsprovidesthedemanddataandtheinformation
,mostsimulationapproachesemployspecific

theauthorsdeveloptheElectricityMarketOperationSimulator(EMOS)
implementedforcompetingmarketbiddings,independentsystemoperators(ISOs),and

However,inthatwork,itisassumedthatunitsdonotsufferanyfailureduringtheprogramming

Basedontheabove,inthepresentpaper,weproposeanovelsimulationmodeltostudythestate
providesafulldefinitionoftheTransmissionLine(TL)statesconsideringasactive,inactive,
undermaintenance,
(TLS)isdesignedusingRDEVSformalism(Blasetal.,2017).Toshowhowthesimulation
modelisdefined,weintroduceacasestudyobtainedfromtheliterature.
Themaincontributionsofthispaperare:
Thedefinitionofasimulationmodelthatprovidesabehavioraldescriptionoftransmission
lines(individually)but,thatcanalsobeintegratedaspartofasystemwithoutrequiring
,ourapproachdoesnotdependonthesizeoftheEPSunderstudy.
Thestudyoftransmissionlinesthatconsidersreal-lifescenarioswithdetailedinformation
,ourapproachstudiestheimpactofscheduled
andunscheduledmaintenancesontheavailabilityoftransmissionlines.
Thedevelopmentofasimulationmodelforagenerictransmissionlinesystemthatcanbe
integratedwithotherapproaches/modelsrelatedtootherstagesofEPS.
