Kobe Bryant is an American NBA basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers, the secretary shooting guard, thought to be one of the most powerful American basketball player.
Kobe born on August 23, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
His father, Joe Bryant , played for Lakers too in 1970s.
He attended Lower Merion High School and averaged points, rebounds(篮板) and assists(助攻)and was named Pennsylvania Player of the Year!
Thus, he went to NBA straight from High School instead of entering university .It was a big challenge!
He was the 13th pick (十三顺位) in the First Round of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Charlotte s(黄蜂队) and then s traded their draft selection to the Lakers(湖人队) before picking Kobe. 
Therefore, His first NBA team is Los Angeles Lakers and he is still there.
He wear a jersey(运动衫) with number 8 ten years, but now it’s 24 .

In his senior year of high school, Kobe led the Aces to their first state championship in 53 years. During the run, he averaged points, 12 rebounds, assists, steals(抢断), and blocked shots(盖帽) in leading the Aces to a 31–3 record. Kobe ended his high school career as Southeastern Pennsylvania's all-time leading scorer at 2,883 points, surpassing both Wilt Chamberlain and Lionel Simmons.
Due to his great ess in college, he decided to enter NBA immediately, only the sixth player in NBA history to do so.
