,wehada221%increaseinthenumberofpeoplecontactinguswhodidnot
haveadiagnosis,asmanywereanxiousontheonehandthattheirrashmaybelinkedwithCovid,andon
theotherhandreluctanttovisitGPsurgeriesforfearofexposuretoCovid.
Forthosecallerswithadiagnosis,%increaseinqueriesrelatingtodermatitis/eczema,

attributedtotheincreasedhandhygienemeasures;consequently,managingandpreventinghand
%increaseinqueriesregardingpsoriasiswhencompared
tothesametimeperiodinthepreviousyear,anda20%increaserelatedtohidradenitissuppurativa.
Thesequeriesreflectedarangeofconcerns,includingpossiblerisksassociatedwithimmunosuppressant
medication,increasedCovidriskwithunderlyingconditions,skinflaringduetostressaboutCovid,
cocooning(shielding),howtomanagepsoriasisflaresduetocancelledphototherapy,andreducedaccess
%increaseinqueriestothehelplinewasregisteredrelatedtoacne,and

Takingtheyear2020asawhole,weexperienceda55%
