Origin of the two party
After the founding of the united stetes,appeared the Federal Party and the anti Federal Party. Thmas Jefferson was the leader of the anti Federal Party.
In 1972, Thmas Jefferson and James Madison founded the Democratic –Republican the Democrat and the Republican derived from this.

In 1816, the Federalist Party died out leaving a single political party for a short time.
In 1825, the Democratic Republic Party split into two is the Democrat which was founded by Andrew Jackson in 1828.

The symbol of the donkey for the Democratic Party is said to have stemmed from Andrew Jackson. His objectors called him a jackass. Instead of taking it as an insult, he chose to adopt this as a symbol. This, in turn, became the symbol of the Democratic Party.

The party typically argues for more government control over social,economic,political matters and less government control over individual rights .(a big government)
For example,they support the social security program,homosexuality and abortion.(liberal)
