it用于强调句式
it用在强调结构中,为了强调句子的某一成分(通常为强调主语、宾语和状语)。
其结构为:“It is/was+被强调部分+
that+句子的其余部分”。

(1)强调主语
eg: I met Tom in the street last week.
→It was I that met Tom in the street
last week.
正是我上周在大街上遇到了汤姆。

(2)强调宾语
eg:I met Tom in the street last week.
→It was Tom that I met in the street
last week.
我上周在街道上见到的是汤姆。
(3)强调状语
eg:I met Tom in the street last week.
→It was in the street that I met him
last week.
我上周是在街道上见到他的。
(3)强调状语
eg:I met Tom in the street last week.
→It was last week that I met him in the
street .
我是上周在街道上见到他的。

→It was I that met Tom in the street last
week.
→It was in the street that I met him
last week.
注:去掉it is/was与that,剩余部分结构完整、句意明确,则为强调句型,否则不是。
→It was obvious that he was right.
注:这句话就不能称为强调句式,因为去掉it is/was与that,剩余部分结构并不完整。
(1)强调句的一般疑问句:只需is/was
提前。
、Was it you that broke the window?
、Is it Professor Wang that teaches you
English?

(2)强调句的特殊疑问句:只需在一
般疑问句前加上疑问词就可。
Who was it that broke the window?
When was it that you called me yesterday?
(1)强调时间、地点、原因或方式状语时,
要用that,不能用when,where,why或how。
→It was in the street that I met him
last week.
→It was last week that I met him in the
street .
,还要注意以下几点:
