travelling 在此处是动名词作定语,修饰time
又如:swimming pool 游泳池
housing estate 居民区
2、by bus( ferry, underground, light rail, car, taxi, plane或air, ship或water)
这些表示交通方式的名词在此处为抽象名词,作不可数名词处理,地铁还可以用metro, subway表示
3、It takes me about ten minutes to get there. “花时间做某事“,不同的主语有不同的句型
sb. spend(s) some time (in) doing sth.
it takes sb. some time to do sth.
4、到达某处的表达法
get to sp.; arrive at/in sp. ; reach sp.
到达这里 arrive here e here
到达那里 get there 去那里 go there
5、时间表达法
一刻钟 a quarter 三刻钟 three quarters
半小时 half an hour 一个半小时 an hour and a half
one and a half hours
6、在某人上学的路上 on one’s way to school
在某人回家的路上 on one’s way back home(adv.)
在某人去她家的路上 on one’s way to her home(n)
7、many “许多“,修饰可数名词 many advertisements
much “许多”,修饰不可数名词 much work
some 和a lot of 既可以修饰可数又可以修饰不可数
a few, 表示肯定,“几个,一些”, 修饰可数名词
few, 表示否定,”很少,几乎没有“,修饰可数名词
a little, 表示肯定,”一些“,修饰不可数名词

8、transport n. 不可数名词“运输,运送,交通”
