A sentence is a group of words containing a subject and a verb and expressing plete thought.
People sometimes have two basic sentence errors: fragment and run-on sentence.

A sentence fragment is a group of words which does not express plete thought. Since it is part of a sentence, it must not be allowed to stand by itself.
